It plans to become a net zero bank.
The Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) released its Sustainability Report, a first in Vietnamese banking history.
The report “Green Thinking, Sustainable Growth,” highlighted HDBank’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies.
HDBank aims to be a net zero bank, promoting green finance, green transformation, and sustainable finance while prioritising the welfare of the community, society, and employees.
The bank's policies and programs ensure financial inclusion, serving a wide range of customers including small and medium-sized enterprises, workers, farmers, small businesses, and low-income individuals.
The bank also highlighted its modern digital banking platform, which facilitated 94% of retail transactions, and attracted more new-to-bank customers in 2023.
